The first impression when we arrived was very pleasant. My wife and I have visited from Cornwall to Scotland and it is not easy to find a welcoming and clean Cottage with a good clean smell. From the very well organized kitchen to the bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The owners very helpful and friendly. We had a very comfortable and relaxed week. The Cottage is in a very good location for exploring the surroundings, especially for those keen on wildlife and bird watching with RSPB Bempton Cliffs just a 30 minute walk from the front door. Another positive aspect is the train station 10 minutes walk from the house, well connected to York and Scarborough for those who want to visit without the stress of driving. Next door to the cottage there is also a delightful tea room which also belongs to Richard where we had two delicious lunches. What more can I say? This is the 2nd time that we have stayed at Rockville Farm Cottages and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with them. We had booked the Copper House which was clean, comfortable and spacious with everything provided for our stay. We loved the Welcome tray with teabags, coffee sachets, lovely biscuits, some for us and also some for our dog which were very much enjoyed! There was also milk and eggs in the fridge. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Our dog loved the big field on site where we could exercise him and he could chase his ball. The cottages are in a peaceful village and ideally situated for trips along the coast or to the North Yorkshire Moors. We will definitely be booking again next year.

Lodge has everything you need, hosts very friendly, beds comfortable, views lovely and to top it all weather great during our stay. The barn owl flew over most nights which was impressive. We were celebrating our 44th Wedding Anniversary with my sister and her family who live in Yorkshire. They were staying in the Shyre Stable and it was their 50th visit to Rockview Cottages and we will certainly be returning.

Stayed in milking parlour. Everything you need in here for self catering. Bed just a bit soft for our liking, but not all tastes are the same. Dog loved it too. 2nd visit as close to family , wonderful location and good for exploring this part of Yorkshire. Owner are very nice and good communications, geforecand whilst there. Only minus is the 9am checkout, but understand that high level cleaning is required. Can highly recommend.

A wonderful stay! The cottage is beautiful, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean (which is very reassuring in these times of COVID). The grounds really add an extra special touch, especially as a lot of cottages do not offer this. It was so relaxing and peaceful. There are plenty of things to do in the area. We spent a lovely day at Bempton cliffs until check-in time which made us feel like we had an extra day on holiday! Can not fault anything. The owners were very friendly and we very much enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return and recommend to our friends.

Stayed in copper house nice and spacious clean and tidy, we were made to feel welcome by Richard and his wife. The cottage had everything we needed ( except a cullender ). The grounds are well maintained with lots of space to relax or play games. We would highly recommend a stay here.

We loved our stay! Richard was very friendly and helpful. The cottage is gorgeous, very clean and has everything you'd need in the kitchen for a basic stay. Little touches like a delicious slice of lemon drizzle, a chocolate brownie and some chocolates were a pleasant surprise. The heating works too well do we were never cold! The bed is definitely more soft than we'd usually like but dispute this we slept well. Bempton is so quiet and peaceful and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The surrounding areas to visit are great within an hour or so radius (Staithes, fossil hunting, Whitby, Flamborough Head, York city, the Moors and York Vale). We would definitely stay in the Milking Parlour again :)

The owners seemed nice and Copper cottage was spacious. However it was supposed to have had a deep clean for covid 19 but there were parts of the property that hadn't seen a duster never mind a deep clean. The place had a thick layer of dirt and grime especially noticeable on the kitchen cupboards and radiators.

Just got home after a weeks stay in the Milking Parlour cottage. We had a great week, the owners were friendly and helpful, the cottage clean with eggs and milk left in the fridge. We informed the owners we had a 9 month old and they provided us with a travel cot, high chair and even dug out some toys. They have eggs for sale with an honesty box at very affordable prices.
